"Global Goals have set an ambitious new agenda for sustainable development. The new goal for the water sector, Goal 6, aims to achieve universal, sustainable and equitable access to safe drinking water, sanitation and hygiene by 2030.

In response to the global goals, UNICEF has developed a new Strategy for Water, Sanitation and Hygiene 2016-2030 that provides a framework to guide our work related to water, sanitation and hygiene over the next 15 years."
